If you can write in cursive, or even if you can just print, OK, even if you can just hold a pen — with practice and instruction you can develop a unique hand lettering style!

This pen party is a workshop with a focus on feeling more colorful, creative and connected and familiarizing yourself with hand lettering basics.

• Learn hand lettering lingo
• Learn the basic strokes of a playful script alphabet
• Practice strokes and movements to connect letters and make artful words
• Understand the mechanics and theories of the faux-ligraphy style of hand lettering
• Overview of basic embellishment and variation techniques to make your lettering pop
• Discussion of tools, uses and modifications
